> Guidance for Cycling Projects in the EU – Validation Workshop

The European Commission is currently developing guidance for cycling projects for cities and towns in the EU. It aims to deliver advice fitting to respective local conditions, including case studies, whilst directing users to existing cycling guidance/projects. The workshop will present the draft structure and content of the online guidance and invites you to have your say on its’ final design.

Target group
This validation workshop is aimed at those interested in providing feedback on the European Commission’s new guidelines for cycling projects. A special call goes out to representatives of cities and municipalities as the targeted main users of the guidelines as well as to members of cycling groups and associations.

> Financial Incentives for Cycling

Monetary incentives are a powerful tool to steer behaviour. While tax benefits are available for people using their car or public transport for their daily commute in many countries, fiscal incentives for cycling are only granted in a few so far. The aim of the session is to present best practice examples and discuss ways to achieve a fiscal level-playing field for all modes of transport.

Cycling promotion in only a few steps. From customer journey to the definition of goals and strategies to design briefing, development of measures and communication. We ask the crucial questions, “Who do I want to reach? What do I want to convey? How can I make my content visible? How can I use emotions to assign positive affections to cycling?
